This website is a wonderful resource for technique-related questions, and contains several detailed, viewer-friendly video clips on various aspects of knitting: everything from basic (and NOT so basic!) cast-on methods, to Fair Isle and Intarsia techniques. You can chose to view video clip on either Continental or English methods of knittings and the site also contains an excellent glossary of knitting abbreviations that are commonly used in pattern instructions.
